Natural Hair Care Products

With so many natural hair care products out there on the market, it’s hard to decide which route you want to take. Do you want products that have the basic “no sulfates, paragons, silicones, etc”, but have other ingredients you have problems pronouncing or do you want short, simple, and to the point ingredients that you can pronounce and identify? This article will introduce you to three of the biggest natural hair care brands that use the best, most natural ingredients.

The first brand that I am going to mention is Mielle Organics. Created in 2014 by Monique Rodriguez, Mielle Organics prides itself on using good ingredients as the only ingredients. Combining her science background (she was a nurse for 8 years) and her own natural hair experience, she researched what she could use differently in her products. The main ingredients she uses in her products are ginger (which makes the hair more manageable, softer and shinier), honey, avocado, babassu oil, mint (prevents dandruffs and stimulates scalp), white peony (prevents hair loss), almond, mongongo oil, and Sacha inchi oil (helps protect hair from damage). Mielle Organics also offers a line specifically for kids. Kids have more sensitive scalps than adults and it also tends to be dry and itchy. Mielle Organics kids line’s main ingredient is Sacha Inchi. Derived from a nut, Sacha Inchi oil provides rich vegetable sources of omega-3 fatty acids, proteins, vitamins, and anti-oxidants. It also helps “regulate oil production” therefore locking in needed moisture. The product line includes hair vitamins, a shampoo, a conditioner, and a curl enhancing cream.

The next brand that I’m going to talk about is Alikay Naturals. This brand is one I’m definitely excited to try especially their curl refresher. Starting out as a YouTube influencer, Rochelle Graham noticed an emptiness in the natural hair care industry where “real” natural ingredients should be. With $100 and a dream, she used her kitchen to create Alikay Naturals. She also created the widely used and known LOC Method which entails applying products in the order of liquid or leave-in, oil, and then cream. This method helps ensure long lasting, moisturized hair. Some of her notable ingredients are avocado oil (soften the hair), lemongrass (to strengthen the hair), coconut oil (to stimulate), honey (to moisturize), and Dead Sea salt (to replenish). In addition to hair care products, Alikay Naturals also provides bath & skin products.

Camille Rose Naturals is another brand that aims to use only the best ingredients in the natural hair products that they create. Just like Mielle Organics, they offer a line that specifically caters to kids hair although the product selection isn’t as extensive and their key ingredient is citrus. The creator, Janell Stephens, says she aims to “meet the needs of my customers from a holistic perspective”. Also, along with hair care, Camille Rose Naturals makes products for the body.

So no matter which brand you choose to go with, they each offer products that are 100% natural. Before picking a product, examine your hair and see what it needs. Is your hair dry? Try Alikay Naturals Honey & Sage Deep Conditioner. Does your scalp need stimulation? Try Mielle Organics Mint Almond Oil. Or is your hair weak? Give Camille Rose Algae Renew Deep Conditioner a try. Each brand offers solutions to a variety of hair problems that any natural haired beauty may experience and they do so naturally.
